About

Are you ready to be OK again?

Therapy is usually a person’s last resort – when the pain has become too much to bear and something has to change.

We often face challenges in our lives, and we usually can work them out on our own. Seldom do we leave our comfort zone and reach for help outside our families. It is a difficult thing to do. There are rewards!

Therapy can offer support and guidance, so you can work on becoming okay again.

I provide a safe environment for individuals to come explore and process their feelings regarding their pain, challenges, and struggles. Building a good rapport based on genuineness, trust and honesty with any therapist is essential to a person’s success in the therapy.

We will work together to build a relationship where trust is foremost. Therapy is about you and addressing your needs and concerns. I am here to guide you in developing effective solutions, so you can emerge triumphant and hopeful about what’s to come in your life.

True progress and growth takes time and work. This could include different assignments tailored to your own therapy needs such as journaling your thoughts and feelings, mediation, or homework.

It will take time to heal, and you control the clock. Let us work together so we can lead you to effective change!

Please give me a call at (813) 438-5672 for a 20-minute phone consultation. Let’s make you okay again!

About Me

My name is Janice Turner; however, Most people refer to me as counselor Jaye. My early career was in the computer field, as I received my bachelor’s in Information Systems. Why the change? Well, I happened to fall into it doing a service call for a mental health clinic.

I helped one of the clinic’s clients who was experiencing a crisis so well that they offered me a job. I told myself that day I was meant to do this – and here I am. I enjoy what I do because I am helping people become well.

I believe in the power of positive change through work and diligence. Therapy helps. Experiencing trauma first hand, I understand the pain of dealing with events that one cannot seem to shake. I believe progress is possible if you put forth the right attitude and effort. Staying the course and a positive attitude make life’s struggles easier.

We are all unique, and I cherish and work with each client relationship differently. I am always honored to work with my clients, because it takes courage to admit you cannot heal or solve your problems on your own.

I received my master’s in Professional Counseling from Liberty University (2013) in Lynchburg, Virginia, and am a licensed mental Health counselor  and licensed clinical supervisor for the state of Florida for marriage and family and mental health counseling. My specialties are relationship counseling, sexual trauma, anxiety, depression, and anger management. For the past seven years I have work with addiction and adoption counseling.

Proud to be a native Tampa resident, I love fishing, singing, and anything that makes others smile.

My experience covers a variety of areas in the mental health field, including working with victims of domestic violence, home- and family-based counseling, parenting and divorce counseling,  I currently have a private telehealth practice in the Tampa Bay Area of Florida.
