The family is one of nature’s Masterpieces.
~ George Santayana
All families face challenges
All families have problems, and they are unique to each family. Some problems are an easy fix and some tend to be a little more difficult to handle.
If you are having trouble with your teenager, trying to parent after a divorce, or trying to reconnect with family, Family Services can help you come up with effective solutions for success.
Children react to what is going on in their environment. Children often blame themselves for what is happening between their parents as well as other family members.
If parents are fighting constantly or a loved one such as a grandparent or pet dies, the child may tend to internalize those emotions and become disruptive as well as depressed.
Children also struggle with adjusting to change. When parents’ divorce, children often have a difficult time with the change in routine. Children worry if their parents can stop loving each other that maybe it’s possible for their parents to stop loving them as well. This can cause the child to become anxious, depressed, or act out.
Teenagers are like small children. They internalize and react to what is happening in their environment. The difference is teenagers tend to become very aggressive, defiant, argumentative, withdraw socially, or become involved with peers who influence them in a negative way.
Family Services can help create a better environment for the entire family system.
Why Family Services and how can it help me?
Families can become disconnected and distant if nothing is done to repair the relationships.
When one person(s) in the family has challenges with one or more family members, Family Services can be a great asset.
As mentioned, Family Services can help the family improve by teaching them how to improve communication, solve strife, handle events that arise (ex., death in the family), or special family situations (ex., a family member with a mental illness, child behavior issues). This results in a better family environment for all family members.
